Welcome to Haddington Healing Rooms!
Haddington Healing Rooms is a place where people can come to receive healing through Christian prayer. A small team of Christian volunteers pray for the physical, emotional or spiritual healing of anyone who comes. The prayer is free and confidential.
A Healing Rooms is a place where we see God bring life, recovery, wholeness, and love to those suffering.
The team come from different churches around the Lothians. We pray for people who are religious, and those who are not religious.

Haddington Healing Rooms is open on the second and third Saturday of every month from 10:30am-12:30.
We are at the Nungate and Haddington Community Centre, 12 Kirk View, Haddington, EH41 4AR.
We hope you can drop in!

What can I expect when I come to a Healing Room?
When you come along, you can expect a friendly welcome. On arrival, you will be met by a receptionist who will ask you what condition you need prayed for. You will then be prayed with by a team of up to three people. Its very simple.

Does healing prayer work?
Yes! Jesus said that Christians who believe would ‘In my name… place their hands on sick people and they will get well’ (Mark Chapter 16 in the Bible). We have found that when we take Jesus at his word and believe him to bring healing, real results take place. People’s health often improves, sometimes slowly but sometimes dramatically. The power is given by God through his Holy Spirit.
Over the years, team members have seen many people healed through Jesus’ power and love.
Our Story
Haddington Healing Rooms opened in late 2024, but our story began in 2005, when two people were dramatically healed Haddington’s West Church during an evening church service.
Claire Simpson was healed of a long standing depression and an arthritic left knee which was several centimetres greater in circumference than her right knee. When people laid hands on her, she felt warmth go through her body. the arthiritus left her and she could suddenly kneel down without pain. She also realised she no longer had the depression and her doctor allowed her to come off antidepressants. Twenty years later she is still absolutely fine and enjoying life serving the Lord.
That evening Richard McGill was also healed by Jesus and a cyst on his vocal cords which had stolen his speech was totally and instantly healed.
A Healing Room was opened in the West Church following these healings and the two testimonies of Claire and Richard made it into the East Lothian Courier. Further healings took place over time.

The Healing Rooms in the West Church closed, but after a gap of quite a few years, there is again a Healing Rooms in Haddington.

Testimonies of healing
A young couple turned up at the Healing Rooms for ministry. They were engaged to be married and had just learned that the girl had to undergo a hysterectomy. They came through to the prayer room….the young man asked if he could come too as his fiance was very nervous. As we were praying, the Lord told me to pray that her left leg would grow in length. I held her leg and commanded it to grow in the name of Jesus. It grew. After praying for a while for her full recovery of her gynaecology problems, we called the young man over to join us. He stood and almost fell over. He was wearing a built up shoe (of which we were completely unaware} and his leg had grown in length as well which meant he overbalanced. He no longer would need a built up shoe!!! How great is our God.
When He went ashore, Jesus saw a large crowd, and felt compassion for them and healed their sick.
The Bible, Matthew 14:14
